The next bigger town with a variety of shops and entertainment is Jelsa, approximately 10km away. The famous town of Hvar about 35km away.

Note:

The nearest bigger airport is Split airport, which is connected regularly with most of major cities in Europe.
Starigrad is the port for ferries connecting the island Hvar with Split. The ferries go quite often, especially during summer, and the journey takes about 2 hours (please check with the Jadrolinija - www.jadrolinija.hr).
