About Zadar and Sea Music
The County of Zadar is the central maritime region of Dalmatia and It consists of 300 islands and islets.
The most famous national parks are in and near this region: The Plitvice lakes, Kornati Islands, Krka Waterfalls, Paklenica and North Velebit which is under UNESCO protection. There are also parks of nature Lake Vrana and Telaščica.
Zadar is the cultural, economic and administrative centre of the region. The city is 3000 years old and for centuries it was the capital of Dalmatia. The city is very rich with world known cultural monuments which can be seen throughout the entire city. To this day the ancient street plans on the peninsula and the Roman Empire have been preserved.
In Zadar you will also find on the sea promenade the one and only SEA ORGANS that produce certain sounds (SEA MUSIC) from the waves. Sea Organ is situated near the new cruiser port, as a part of Zadar's Riva, and can be observed as a differently shaped part of the coast which consists of several stairs that descend into the sea. The Sea Organs produce a range of enchanting tones, depending on the movement and power of the waves.
The most beautiful sunset in the world can be seen from that place.

National Park - Kornati Islands
Kornati Islands is a group of about 130 islands, islets and reefs sprinkled in the deep blue sea of the Adriatic covering an area of about 64 sq km.
The sea around the islands is rich with fish and a variety of marine life.... just amazing nature!
